Testimonials
The team at Twyfords is always happy to receive feedback from their clients. Below are some examples of what they have to say about us:
"I am writing to congratulate you on your contribution to the ACT Disability Advisory Council's "Citizen's Jury - Scorecard for Challenge 2014". This project was awarded the 2007 International Project of the Year from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).
"The IAP2 is an international association of members who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments and organisations on matters of public interest throughout the world.
"Your participation contributed to the project receiving world-class recognition for the work being accomplished in the disability sector in the ACT. The recommendations provided by the jury have been used as a model for planning and providing services for people with a disability within the ACT.
"Being involved in a project that has won the 2007 Project of the Year is a significant achievement and I congratulate you on your contribution to this prestigious International Award."
"I am writing to you to advise that I will be leaving my position as General Manager at Ashfield Council on 13th November 2009 to take up an appointment as General Manager of the neighbouring Marrickville Council.
"My 4 years at Ashfield have been both enjoyable and productive and although I am sad to be leaving, I am excited by the opportunity of career advancement and a new challenge in managing a much larger council.
"Before leaving Ashfield I would like to record my personal thanks to you and your organisation for your cooperation and assistance in building communication channels and facilitating discussions on key developments and initiatives. Hopefully this has helped to build relationships between the Council and key community/business organisations.
"I look forward to an opportunity to renew our acquaintance in the future."
"Shellharbour City Council has had a business association with Twyfords since 2009.
Twyfords have delivered IAP2 training to Council staff and have designed and implemented Community Engagement exercises for Council.
"This engagement was well considered and implemented faultlessly at the community strategic plan workshops, which were highly successful.
"Twyfords have skilled and experienced facilitators and have an inclusive style that brings the best out of the community but also have a collaborative style when working with Council staff that has built upon the training provided and provided valuable experience.
"At present Twyfords are working with Council on a community engagement and consultation on a new civic centre for Shellharbour City.
"I would have no hesitation in recommending Twyfords as a professional, experienced and highly effective organisation that are able to delivery results for councils seeking engagement strategies and positive outcomes with their community."
"As a satisifed participant at your Partnering Above and Below the Line training program in Cairns last week, I would like to say thank you to both of you for the program content, presentation and resources you developed and provided us with to make this training enjoyable, reflective and informative.
"It gave me the opportunity to reflect on aspects I had knowledge of and to gain different ideas and tools on how to approach partnering both internally and externally and to be more effective. Partnership brokering surely does require a sophisticated skill set and I am working towards this goal in my current role as Planning and Partnership Officer with the Department of Communities which requires me to promote and support initiatives, partnership links and concerns in the child protection arena.
"My head was buzzing at the training and I think we get so tied up in wanting to fix up what's not working instead of just using common sense, that partnering has to start with conversations to lead to building workable relationships and then actioning. I am hopeful that I can now decipher my scribblings, your training guide and exercises and use these resources as a planning spectrum to identify where we (I am) and want to be.
"Wishing you both continued success in the future.
"Vivien and the team at Twyford Consulting are recognised experts in the public participation training field.
"My team at Auckland Regional Council were very happy with the content and delivery of the IAP2 Planning for Effective Public Participation course.
"We learned how to define public participation, apply a proper process and develop a public participation plan. The training examples were real-life and complex and ideally suited to our working environment.
Thank you."
"While I have worked with the IAP2 model for some years, I had never undertaken any formal IAP2 training. So last year I set myself the goal of working through all three modules. I attended the IAP2 Planning Module in March and then registered for the "Twyfords' one day course on Evaluation of Public Participation in November. Both were run by Twyfords and were great experiences. Our facilitator was knowledgeable and approachable, learning was achieved through a healthy mixture of presentation, discussion and practical application; and the comprehensive written materials were not only helpful on the day but have now become useful reference documents. I certainly enjoyed the training and continue to use, test and think about the things I learnt."
